The Success Factory NexTech STEM Programs

The Success Factory is a grassroots 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves as an economic development initiative by inspiring and building STEM career readiness through NexTech STEM Programs for Hawaii Island youth.

The economic demand for qualified STEM professionals continues to outpace America’s qualified workforce. The increase of technology into broader areas of our economy widens the gap further between our commercial need for computer programmers and available talent.

NexTech STEM weekend and school intersession programs are designed students with high STEM interest in grades 4-8 and their parents, and in high school. We focus on underserved students with limited access to STEM learning, for girls who want to explore and pursue STEM careers because women remain under-represented in STEM careers, and involve highly skilled STEM students as mentors.

A multi-step process of introducing STEM learning to diverse groups of students, promoting student discovery of their STEM interest and ability, and connecting their interest to STEM careers and successful pathways are the goals of The Success Factory and its NexTech STEM programs. Partnered with inspiring teachers and STEM professionals, STEM skilled high school and collegiate mentors, we are building a community that inspires STEM learning in our youth to grow Hawaii Island’s economic future.
