December 2018 – STEM Exploration – Environmental and Cultural Science at Pohakuloa Training Area

The environment and cultural management teams demonstrated their use of technological approaches such as electronic data collection, GPS, to protect and propagate vital species and acoustic monitoring and night vision technology to prevent invasive damage to the environment.

Student views: “It creates a living environment, saving many endangered species.” “They also do so much to preserve culture and historical sites.” “They are trying to find solutions to many problems.”
